My clients often want to know why I became a Financial Fiduciary, and my answer is very simple. I had a great mentor who showed me that those educated on financial matters hold the keys to financial independence.
My family and I moved to the US in 2007. At the time, family and friends advised my parents to purchase a home. Following this advice, they used all their hard-earned money for a down payment on a house. We were all so optimistic. Then, in 2008, the financial crisis hit. I’ll never forget how we lost the home simply because we had never had any education on financial matters. My parents needed financial advice from someone who knew the industry, but by the time we lost the house, it was too late.
I’d spent my entire life miseducated about the path to financial freedom. Like most people my age, I grew up with vague advice about getting a good job, working hard, and saving. I’d heard the term 401(K) and had an idea it was a good thing but had no idea of how it worked – I just knew if your employer offered a 401(K)-matching plan, you probably had a “good” job. If you “saved” enough, you could get a house. If you “worked hard,” you would be rewarded. I believe in hard work, and even though I saw many examples of families all around me who worked hard and never realized the elusive rewards, I pressed forward.
One day, my life changed forever. I met my mentor, who took me under his wing and began to educate me about how intelligent people grew their money. Imagine my surprise when I learned that my money could work for me. Imagine my surprise when I knew I didn’t have to be a millionaire to precisely what millionaires do. I wanted to share this information with the world; I remember thinking, “Why don’t they teach this in school? Everyone should know this!” – and determined that I would be the teacher. That’s when I became a Financial Fiduciary. Most people want to achieve financial independence but don’t know how. They want to plan but don’t know the route to take. That’s where I come in.
Today, I am an independent financial advocate, working hard every day to ensure my clients realize their dreams.
My mission is to deliver exceptional value for my clients in investment advice and provide outstanding client service.
I was fortunate to have been taken under the wing of someone just as committed to financial education as I am today, and I’d love to do the same for you. If your money is not working hard enough for you, you need a financial advocate.
I want to help you bring your financial vision to reality. I believe in creating alliances with like-minded, yet humble people in other areas of finance, insurance, tax, lending, investing and legal, most times, I find it takes just one conversation – feel free to reach out and connect.
